April’s edition of the GoDown Gig is set to take place this Saturday, the 7th, at The GoDown Art Centre in Nairobi’s Industrial Area from 3 pm. The show will headline some Kenya’s best live performers i.e. Yunasi, Band Beca & Daniel Okiror.
The monthly event which showcases the best of 254 talent is open and free, and they are promising an afternoon of nothing but the best live music. This edition will be hosted by Cindy Ogana and Deejay Kelv 254.
The GoDown Arts Centre is a Non-Governmental Organization that was established in 2003 to provide a home for Kenyan creativity in Arts and Media and also to facilitate collaborations between artistes from different forms of art and different parts of the world.
The GoDown Gig, which is one of the Arts Centre’s projects, aims to showcase and celebrate local talent. It has opened it’s stage for some of the greatest Kenyan live performers such as Suzanna Owiyo, Jua Kali, Sarabi, H_art The Band, Nazizi, Juliani, Kidum, Makadem among many others in the past.
Come and savour the sultry voices of the girl duo Band Beca, the beautiful sounds of the multitalented fusionist Daniel Okiror and eclectic performances by the legendary Yunasi Band.
Food and Drinks will be on sale at the venue. Entry is free.
