Nigerian singer Yemi Alade on Tuesday 15 unveiled new album “Woman of Steel” at Blue Door in Westlands.
Using the acronym WOS, the singer, alongside several other prominent artists launched the 15-track album and performed to a small audience that was invited.
Some of the guests present include: Nadia Mukami, Naiboi, Dogo Janja (Tz), Hart the Band, Victoria Kimani, Sauti Sol’s Chimano, Anyiko Owoko, Patricia Kihoro, Producer Eric Musyoka, Buddah Blaze and Blinky Bill just but to mention a few.
Woman Of Steel includes such songs as “Remind You”, “Lai Lai”, “Somto” and “CIA (Criminal In Agbada)”.
Anyiko Awoko, who is the PR machine behind Yemi’s brand, took to social media to ecstatically share a recap of the event, which, was Emceed by Chimano of Sauti Sol.
“How you smile when you are at thr greatest release party #WOSAlbum by Mama Africa,” she said adding:
“Last night was magical!!🔥🙌💯 @yemialade‘s release party of her acclaimed fourth studio album -WOMAN OF STEEL @bluedoor was a huge success. We appreciate everyone who came through. Your presence was highly appreciated.”
The album has garnered a million stream on Spotify in one week of its release.
It follows her previous successful albums: King of Queens (2014), Mama Africa (2016) and Black Magic (2017). She embodies strength and flaunts panache characteristics on this vigorous 13-track WOMAN OF STEEL album, released through her label.
