Yemi Alade And Nyashinski Collaborate On A New Swahili Ballad – “Nakupenda”

Nigerian Afropop icon Yemi Alade has a resolve to grow her East Africa fan base to the next level. The ‘Johnny’ hitmaker has been to the 254 countless times for performances and music recordings and even did something special for 254 fans. You recall ‘Na Gode’? The viral hit done in Swahili and a stupendous video in Maasai regalia that captured the hearts of East Africans, well that was just the start. She is back at it.

Yemi Alade today released a new ballad titled, ‘Nakupenda’ and features current rap top don and MTV EMA nominee Nyashinski. The love ballad is in recorded in effortless Swahili and her choice of words works perfectly on her delivery.

The jam covers a love story with Yemi and Nyash going in on some sassy lines meant for lovers. In a wedding setting acting like final vows, the two mesh perfectly and totally convincing. The video storyboard is quite interesting capturing the love story and winds up with the pair settling in a mansion.

This record will another plus for Nyashinki who is getting tones of play at family functions with his previous record, ‘Malaika’. This serves as an addition to the wedding playlists and cuts across East Africa just from the Swahili brand.
