Kenyan movie “Why U Hate” is set to have an exclusive screening at the iHub innovation centre on Ngong Road on Wednesday, July 27th from 6 Pm to 9 PM.
The movie, produced by Dreamhouse Entertainment and being distributed by MyMovies.Africa, will be shown at the centre following a partnership between MyMovies.Africa™, the Creative Economy Practice (CEP) and the Kenyan Film Commission
The collaboration is part of Mymovies.Africa’s goal to support Kenyan creatives and filmmakers and encourage a cinema-going culture specifically for Kenyan films.
The event will also have a Q&A session that will see the cast and crew share their experiences and challenges faced while shooting the movie.
“We’re very excited about where the film and content industries of Africa are headed! From the storytelling to the new technologies and to the new entrants like MyMovies.Africa™,”said Timothy Owase, KFC Chief Executive Officer.
“This partnership between MyMovies.Africa™ and CEP is a big boost to the creative industry which will ensure continuity and growth of the ecosystem required for sustainability.”
Why U Hate revolves around Kwami (Bernard Irungu), who after years of patiently working in the city and saving money, flees to his rural home leaving a trail of bodies behind him and evading the bounty placed on his head.
