One of Sauti Sol’s quartet Fancy Fingers has shed light on their upcoming hiatus, disputing speculations that the group is breaking up.
This comes after the group revealed they will be taking a break from group projects for a while once they release their sixth studio album later this year.
Part of their press release read, “Sauti Sol will also be dropping their last album together this year.”

In a Stanbic Yetu Festival presser, the guitarist said the group just needs to step back a bit.
“It’s been 15 years in the business, it’s getting to a point where we feel that we just need to step back a bit.” He said, adding ….
“We are not quitting music, or breaking up.”
He clarified that their statement on the hiatus has had a lot of interpretations.
“I think the statement that we put out was very clear, there is a lot of interpretations from the media, everyone and our fans.” He said.
The singer added the group will still be running all their businesses together.
“All the business, the record label will still be running and we just feel that we need to take this small break,” he said.
