King Kaka recently broke the internet as the only Kenyan artist to have a seat at the world famous Radio Station Hot 97 in New York. Kaka travelled to the States for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s annual Goalkeeper’s event.
Once he was on the Hot 97 mic, Kaka focussed on leaving a lasting impression and did some education to the morning presenters. Ebro was eager from the jump to know about Africa and had all the questions for King Kaka.
He kicked off the interview by talking about his foundation that provides sanitary towels to young girls. The presenters Laura Styles and Rosenberg were pretty much impressed and had a back and forth on the topic.
Among the notable topics Kaka put the breakfast crew on include; musicians, culture, Swahili language, and Music Sample by Kanye West. He also did some free marketing for our wildlife scene and Safaricom’s initiative Blaze. The crew was eager to learn and clear their biases about the false information they may have heard.
Kaka also announced the release of his upcoming album, ‘Eastlando Royalty’ on November 30th. The album will have a single which features comedy ace – Tracy Morgan.
Morgan who was on the show as well to promote his new show -‘The Last OG’ was kind enough to grant King Kaka 2 kilos of shinning jewellery that has sentimental value to him. He also advised him to stick to music and avoid beef.
King Kaka really did put Nairobi on the map and showcased his patriotism on a higher level on a worldwide platform.
