Rapper, singer, and songwriter Wangechi has been utterly quiet for the past couple of months. Actually, her last release was the 10 track EP “Don’t Consume if Seal is Broken” which included Tusker’s theme song for the Here’s to us Campaign launched November 2016. But she has been teasing some new work which is ready to roll out next week.
Wangechi has been calming some storm behind the scenes and she promises to give the exclusive details soon but on the other hand, her energy has been channelled into what she does best – music. On Tuesday she will be dropping her first banger to announce her grand return after that hiatus.
On her social media platforms, Wangechi has been teasing the Trap jam ‘Nishazoea’. I had an exclusive listen to its entirety and I’d rate it 8/10. She is a femcee who comes correct with her storytelling, metaphors, singalongs, and I love how she goes in English-Swahili interchanges. Wangechi says this is her first shot on the Trap sound and she incredibly delivered well.
Wangechi says she got tonnes of music ready for the streets, an EP is also ready although it has no title yet. If you have been feeling the voice in the Kenyan Femcee’s spectrum, well Wangechi is here to fill it up.
