The Walker Town Concert circuit was at Rift Valley Sports Club in Nakuru last Saturday for yet another exciting experience. It was headlined by Johnnie Walker’s lead brand ambassador in Kenya, Nyashinski, and Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Joeboy. The concert brought together several fans from Nakuru and its environs.
Nyashinski, one of Kenya’s most celebrated artists, took to the stage. He had the crowd on their feet with his chart-topping hits, such as Hapo Tu, Free, and Mungu Pekee. Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Joeboy, also wowed the audience with his popular hits including Body & Soul and Love Nwantiti, keeping the energy levels high throughout his performance. Contemporary Rhumba sensation Okello Max also had the crowd singing along to his infectious melodies.
The event was not just about the headlining acts. It also featured renowned local and international DJs, including DJ Joe Mfalme, DJ Pierra Makena, and DJ Protégé. Gudaman and Kwambox, the event’s energetic hosts, maintained the energy throughout the night.
Apart from the exhilarating live sets, the attendees were treated to an immersive concert experience. These include fun activities such as food, gaming, fashion, and art. Additionally, the event sponsor Johnnie Walker ensured that the revelers’ cups were filled with an endless supply of delicious whisky cocktails among other drinks.
The Nakuru edition is just of the many successful Walker Town events that have taken place in several counties in Kenya since its launch in 2022. With the aim of connecting artists with their fans, these shows have become fan favorites courtesy of their consistency and unique entertainment.
This edition was without a doubt a success thanks to the energetic performances from all the performers and the engaging fun activities. Walker Town Nakuru is one for the books as fans won’t forget this experience anytime soon.
