Sensational singer, songwriter, a former model, and entrepreneur Wahu Kagwi has been in the scene for over 17 years and she is yet to be done. Maintaining such longevity in the 254 is hard enough but she seems to have her core audience glued to any new drop.
This week, she just dropped a new single which she poured her heart on it to the max. Wahu rarely puts out new music as she is enthralled with her fashion and beauty business besides running her family of two kids alongside his husband Nameless Mathenge.
The new gem, ‘Sifa’ is a contemporary gospel ditty which cuts across her audience, secular and gospel. Sifa is a form of thanksgiving ode that Wahu says she wrote when she was in a dark place.
Talking about the song, Wahu states, ‘“well, I wrote SIFA when I was going through a really low point in my life. I could have written a dark song that captured the essence of how I felt. I could have poured out my pain into an emotional song, which would have been perfectly ok, but I didn’t. Instead and to encourage myself, I turned to my Heavenly Father, asking Him for a way out of my darkness.”
The aim of the song is to uplift and help the listeners find purpose in the course of life without giving up. Wahu you hit the nail on the head with this one, as we know Nyashinski is literally running away with this type of music, so it’s bound to take off too.
