Viral Iconic Tweet, Nine years later, Victor Wanyama Trades Spaghetti For Kit

Nine years ago, on May 7, 2012, Victor Mugubi Wanyama posted a Viral Iconic Tweet.

The Tweet read; “I had Spaghetti and it was very nice, I enjoyed it.”

The Tweet has garnered over 41,000 Retweets, and over 38,000 likes, still getting engagements till date.

Four years later, when the professional football player, was signed to Tottenham, the club made a reference to his iconic Tweet; posting “We signed Victor Wanyama and he was very nice we enjoyed it.”

Fast forward to 2021; 30-year-old Victor Wanyama plays as a defensive midfielder for major league football club CF Montreal.

After a CF Montreal 2 – 1 disappointing loss to New England on Monday, as Wanyama made his way back to the changing room, he noticed a sign addressed to him.

A fan, well aware of the Iconic Tweet, and Wanyama’s love for spaghetti must have thought earlier of a creative way to get a Souvenir, displaying the sign that read, “WILL TRADE SPAGHETTI FOR KIT.”

The Kenyan National team captain happily obliged to the trade, handing him his Jersey for the Spaghetti. CF Montreal later highlighted the moment in a Tweet, posting; “Nine years later and still enjoying it 🍝”
