Victoria Rubadiri Shares COVID-19 Status Days After Her Co-Anchor Tested Positive

Citizen TV news anchor Victoria Rubadiru has publicly shared her COVID-19 status days after her co-host for the Sunday Live show Jeff Koinange tested positive.

Taking to her social media page, Rubadiri stated that many of her fans had been reaching out to check on her well being and this might have prompted her to go public about the matter.

The media personality confirmed that she had tested negative of the virus after undergoing the test earlier this week.

“Thanks to everyone who reached out to find out how I’m doing. I was tested earlier this week for COVID-19 and thankfully the results came back negative” she stated

Rubadiri went further to advise Kenyans to observe the preventive measures to protect themselves and the people around them.

“Whatever your COVID-19 status, take all the necessary precautions. Your health is paramount not just for you but those who depend on you” she wrote

Despite having tested negative Rubadiri says that this will not serve as a ticket to be reluctant but she will ensure that she keeps safe together with those she interacts with.

Her statement comes days after Jeff Koinange’s radio co-host Professor Hamo also confirmed to have tested negative of the virus.

With COVID-19 posing a threat to even media personalities, media companies like Radio Africa group have rolled out mass testing for their employees as a way to combat spread of the virus.
