Kenyan songbird, actress, and Chocolate City’s First Lady Victoria Kimani is scheduled to take her craft back to the USA in August at the world famous One Africa Music Festival.
The event which is in its second year is a platform to celebrate African music and artists and hopes to be the melting point of Africa and the West. It is dubbed the Biggest African Concert in New York soil. On that very stage, some of the biggest and brightest names in Afro beats/pop have made an appearance – making it a high-profile gig.
Victoria Kimani stands out as the only Kenyan on that bill this year. Based on the fact that she kicked off her music career in the USA before hitting Nigeria and back to Nairobi, she is glad to hit that New York stage.
Over the years, Victoria has furthered her catalog of hits from Show, Gota, all the way to, Mtoto, Ayaya and several other hits. She also has a fresh album which dropped earlier in the year which is available on digital sales platforms.
So if you are in New York, mark the date, August 19th at the Amphitheatre Coney Island. You will be in for a treat. As of now, the details of the full lineup are not finalized but keep it here for updates.
