Victoria Kimani, Gabiro Mtu Necessary Receive Grammy Awards Nod

Victoria Kimani, Gabiro Mtu Necessary have received Grammy Awards Nod in the third edition of Behind The Record Initiative.

Behind the Record Initiative is a global social media activation highlighting producers, engineers, songwriters, composers, mixers, instrumentalists, and other creators who contribute to the music recording process.

Among the artists credited in this year’s Behind The Record Initiative are Kenya’s Victoria Kimani and Gabiro Mtu Necessary.

Featured artists, producers, songwriters, performers, Engineers, Guitarists and Wardrobes behind Victoria Kimani’s Spirit Animal album have been recognized.

Kisumu Based artist Gabiro Mtu Necessary Ep ‘Jenesis’ is also highlighted on the third edition of Grammy Awards Behind The Record Initiative.

Producers, Songwriters, Associated Performers, Vocalist, Engineers, Mixers, Production Coordinator, Art Direction, Design, A & R Admin, and Executive Producers on Jenesis have been highlighted.

In recognition of the creatives behind the projects, the Recording Academy posted, “Our Mission is to give credit to the behind-the-scenes music creators that bring to life all your favourite Albums and Songs.”

The 64th Grammy Awards nomination announcement is set for Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021.
