Fashion mogul Victoria Beckham and wife to former football star David Beckham, has been in Kenya for the last couple of days.
Victoria is on a charity trip in support of the Sport Relief project dubbed #BoxGirls; an initiative that aims at promoting female empowerment.
The former model shared fun moments with the BoxGirls community on her Instagram account.
“I’m just here hanging out with the girls, talking about boxing and everything that they get out of boxing,” she said. “How they find it empowering, how it’s good for their fitness, their mind, and how much they’ve changed since Sarah has been working with the girls.”
BoxGirls was set up by coach Analo Anjere when two schools girls approached him with the desire to learn how to “box like boys”. The programme has since grown to become a strong community, providing a safe environment for girls to talk and discuss important issues.
In a press statement, Victoria said: “I’m so proud to have been supporting the amazing work of Sport Relief for over a decade.
I first went on a field trip to Peru in 2004 for the “A mile in their shoes” documentary. 14 years later, here I am in Kenya, visiting incredible community projects that are protecting, educating and empowering women of all ages.”
