Veteran Sports Commentator Fred Arocho Quits Radio Africa Group After 14 Years

Veteran sports commentator Fred Arocho bids farewell to Radio Africa Group after a successful 14-year stint as a Radio Jambo presenter.

In a heartfelt post on Facebook, Arocho expressed his gratitude to Radio Africa Group for providing him with a platform to hone his skills and build his career in the media industry.

“I cannot believe how time has flown, it’s now 14 yrs since I joined Radio Africa Group, a place I have made home. With great humility, I take this opportunity to formally thank the management for the confidence they bestowed on me while on air and to my fellow staff who made the place a wonderful family for me, Ahsanteni Sana!” He wrote.

Excitingly, Arocho also revealed that he will be joining the newly formed Radio 47. This move is set to enable him to broaden his horizons and tap into new opportunities in the media world.

Arocho gave credit to his colleagues and the management at Radio Africa Group for shaping and supporting him throughout his time at the media house.

In particular, he acknowledged the instrumental role played by Carol Radul, who helped him discover his talent in football commentary, a field in which he has excelled over the years.

As Arocho moves on to the next chapter of his career, his fans and admirers wished him all the best as he continues to make strides in the media industry.
