What’s December without some fashion fun and giving back to the community.
The organizers of the ILTARETO Fashion For Charity that will be happening on Jamuhuri Day have been a part of the Kenyan fashion landscape in an impactful way. Up until recently, they put together regular fashion nights at Brew Bistro. The platform was instrumental in growing many local models and designers.
They are now bringing you a fun-filled daytime event at Sankara hotel that will have great food, drinks, a DJ and music from Kenyan female musicians Agolla and Binti Africa. There’ll also be some activities for kids.
Designers who will be showcasing are Azra and Jamil Walji, Koki, Kaveke and Afrostreet By Melanie.
What makes this event even more special is that everyone involved in it is doing it for the greater cause which is to contribute to the Iltareto Primary School which Dimitri Karadimas has been supporting for 6 years now. “The aim of this show and many more to come after this is to help the school progress in their education of the children as well as make it self sufficient.” They also have plans to build accommodation facilities for the female staff and start a chicken farming project.
