Uncover Skincare Launches Kenya’s Very First Pimple Patches

Kenyan skincare brand Uncover launched a new pimple patch product dubbed I Am Spotless. Pimple patches have been gaining popularity in many people’s skincare routines in the recent past. It’s super exciting to have a pimple patch brand that is created by a Kenyan company.

I Am Spotless pimple patch is the first of its kind in the Uncover beauty line. The brand has gained popularity in the past for its range of glow sheet masks. According to one of the founders Sneha Mehta, Uncover was created in 2014 to empower women to be who they want to be.

Speaking at the launch event Uncover’s partner and brand ambassador Patricia Kihoro noted that their products were formulated using the best K-beauty formulations to address individual skincare needs. “We cinched supply partnerships with 6 of East Africa’s largest pharmacy, wellness, and cosmetic chains sold 3,000 units of our first product in the first month, and gained thousands of organic views on each of our skincare education videos. Today, it gives us great pride to launch our second product.” Added Uncover founding team member Jade Oyateru.

The Uncover pimple patch has wound healing hydrocolloid technology. It is also packed with essential acne-fighting ingredients, salicylic acid, and cica. The patch works by sucking out the gunk and oil, shrinking pimples, and shielding one from picking on the pimples. It is also transparent can be worn under makeup.

While breakouts are normal, this product is designed to reduce acne inflammation and scarring. Each box of the pimple patches has 18 pieces. The patches are retailing at only KES 899 per box on the Uncover website and various beauty retail outlets such as True Cosmetics, Kasha, Super Cosmetics, Goodlife, and Jumia among others.
