UK Based Kenyan Comedian Njambi McGrath to Headline Africa Laugh Festival This Weekend

Established by Kenyan live and on-screen comedy king Churchhill through Laugh Industry; the International Africa Laugh Festival has over the last three years become a game-changer rib-cracking affair.

Njambi McGarth who is an author and comedian based in the UK is headlining this year’s edition alongside other East African comedians such as Eric Omondi, Mamito, MCA Tricky, Agnes Akite, Salvador and Arthur Nkusi.

On his IG, Churchill is looking forward to the show saying, “I will be the host for the night. To be honest, I am very excited about this particular event. Lots of surprises for the night, you ain’t ready. Mtapenda.”

According to her website, Njambi McGrath who was born in  Kenyan is Winner of NATYS 2019. She was also voted 1 of 5 top female comedians to watch by Fabulous Magazine 2012 and has appeared on BBC World New Years Comedy, BBC Radio 4 Saturday Live.

From her YouTube channel, Njambi’s comedy style is laid back and intelligent and she’s not afraid to go with some stereotypical topics. Ey, isn’t that what great comedy is all about? Her addition to the Laugh Festival will be a welcome one for local comedy fans.
