Telecommunication giant Safaricom recently launched Twaweza movement which sets aside the Telco from being a telecommunications brand to a digital lifestyle enabler for Kenyans to connect and do more with their lives using the Safaricom network and ecosystem.
The campaign will be moving from the large city to towns across the country seeing to engage citizens at the grassroots for the betterment of their future. This weekend they will be hitting the City of Champions – Eldoret for a Twaweza Live concert.
The Safaricom crew held local auditions at the Boma Inn hotel in search for a Deejay, hype master and musician. Over 300 people showed up for the auditions trying their luck. The selected winners will step on the big stage to showcase their skills at Eldoret Sports club.
Speaking about Twaweza live, Victor Ngumo who is the head of the Rift region had this to say,“We are bringing change to the people of Rift Valley through the Twaweza spirit of connecting people-to-people, people to knowledge and people to opportunity”.
Safaricom Twaweza Live aims to solidify its connection with customers and transform lives in communities across the country. In addition, Safaricom is coming to build the local entertainment industry in the Rift region.
