5 Meals You can Make In Under 10 Minutes

Weekdays can be consuming sometimes, especially, if you are living alone. You get to the house and there’s so much to do which honestly, you don’t have the energy for.

Such days need a quick meal that won’t demand a lot. Below are a few examples:

1. Eggs and Pasta

Eggs are the ultimate bachelor’s meal and can literally go with anything. Make some scrambled eggs to go with some Spaghetti and sauce.

2. Avocado Hummus

Combine chickpeas, avocados, tahini, lime juice, garlic, olive oil and cumin in the bowl of a food processor and season with salt. Blend until smooth. Pour mixture into serving bowl and garnish with cilantro and red pepper flakes. Drizzle with more olive oil if desired and serve.

3. Garlicky Spaghetti

  • To make spaghetti sauce, cook garlic in butter and olive oil over medium low heat just until the garlic is soft but not browned.
  • Stir in the parsley or basil and cook for 2 minutes (stirring constantly) until the herbs are limp but still green.
  • Pour sauce hot over cooked spaghetti, toss lightly to coat and top with parmesan cheese.

4. Ugali with Sour Milk

This is very easy to prepare since Ugali only needs cooking.

5. Omelettes

Whipping up an omelette for one couldn’t be easier, making for a speedy lunch or satisfying solo supper.

6. Mac and cheese

A very quick and easy fix to a tasty side-dish. Mac and cheese are some of those recipes that can take on so many different forms.
