Thrift Social – one of Nairobi’s most buzzed about art, music and fashion events is back this month – and this time, it’s all about the 254!
From banging beat to the latest in what’s trending style wise, this looks like it might be an even bigger deal than any in the past.
It goes down on the 24th of June at the Uhuru Gardens and will present a series of concert performances including the MTV award winners, Best Group in Africa, Sautisol, alongside the experimental art collective EA Wave, and Durban singer/songwriter Shekhinah
And that’s not all.
The American Hip Hop/Soul duo OSHUN, will also be taking to the stage as 2manysiblings celebrate Thrift Social’s 3rd Year Anniversary.
The event will be hosted by Barak Jacuzzi.
But it’s still all about the clothes. Thrift Social began on a much smaller stage, with a focus on what Nairobi is wearing. The Made in Kenya edition allows you the platform to creatively explore colour and cloth with an authentic, Kenyan touch.
