The second edition of concerts organized by Form Ni Gani Kenya took place this past weekend, and was headlined by leading musicians including Serro, Suzziah, Gravitti band and Juliani.
The action went down on Sunday at the Alliance Francaise and carried on the campaign to help create awareness and conversations around family planning.
Other performers on the day included: Wen, Zikki, and poets: Spontaneous the Poet, Qui Qarre and Teardrops.
The #FormNiGani Movement launched this past April, and has so far engaged creatives in a number of programmes specifically targeting young people.
This includes the “K63” Visual comic book on Family Planning by top Kenyan animator and graffiti artist: Point Blank and #FormNiNgoma music concert in May, in Bungoma. In addition, there has been the #FormNiBall 7-a-side football tournament held at Starehe Boys, an exhibition by Boniface Mwangi highlighting more than 60 personal stories on sex, and a theme song performed by Juliani and Suzziah—all to create awareness and address issues on Family Planning.
