Kenyan Concert The Heng is throwing the ultimate throwback party for its 3rd edition on the 24th of September. The show which is happening at the Karen Waterfront opens its gates from 6 pm till late.
For this edition, The Heng’s artist lineup has top Kenyan performers Angie Gachui, Brandy Maina, Benjamin Webi, Canaan Owour, Elsaphan Njora, Janice Wanjiru-Kioko, June Gachui, Kendi Nkonge-Mohol, Kevin ‘K1’ Maina, Lisa Oduor-Noah , Manasseh Shalom, Matt Ngesa, Njoki Karu, Noel Nderitu, Ruby Ninah, Steph, Wambura Mitaru and Art In Motion.
All the live shows will be backed up by a band made up of Music Director David Hunter, Drummer Amani Sd, Key Masters Victor Kimetto & George Nyoro, and guitarists Ted Mwangi, Newman Owor & Ivy Alexander. On the decks top DJs Pinye and Adrian will flex deck skills through the night.
According to the organizers JGIP Events, The Heng will take attendees back to the 90s by bringing back the feel, style, and music of this iconic era. As the concert creator, June Gachui puts it, “The Heng! is a unique night where everything from the 90s comes to life. Remember the music, the dressing, the hair, and even the choreography? Well, the Heng offers you a place to come celebrate while paying tribute to your 90s memories. Come and commune with your crew while grooving to music that you grew up to; sounds that unlock special memories.”
