This Saturday, December 15th, an event that promises to kill the nostalgia of the ’90’s – you did not even know you had – will be happening at The Hub Karen Mall. “The concert will showcase music from a time when Sheng was gaining popularity in Kenya; when only 2 television station existed; a period before smartphones and mobile internet; a time when you were young and free.”
We live in a fast-paced world today but there’s always a positive feeling to be gained when you remember the years that have gone by. What better way to do this than through music. “The performers will bring their feel and style to songs by award-winning artists such as Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Mary J Blige, Brandy, TLC, Envouge, Notorious B.I.G, Tevin Campbell, KC & Jojo and many more.” Hope there’ll be some Kenyan jams from the 90’s too!
Who will be performing:
Karun, Nikita Kering, Suzziah, Patricia Kihoro, Silayio, Noel Nderitu, Mbithi, Angie Gachui, David Hunter, Daniel Chikhwaza, Manasseh Shalom and Rigga
The show has been put together by award-winning thespian and soul singer June Gachui; who has been producing live shows such as MoTown for years. The move to have the “Heng” party came to her after being asked time after time to have an event for 90s babies. Other than amazing music she promises to make the show as authentic as possible.
Look out for the event and share this with anyone you know who loves their 90s music!
