The Alchemist Bar one of the hottest outdoor spots in town, invites all musicians, comedians and artistes for a chance to perform at the Open Mic Night. This gig will be a weekly affair that will go down every Wednesday night during the month of August this year.
The Alchemist Bar which is located along Parklands road has grown to be a popular rendezvous for Nairobi revellers since its official opening January 2016. Alchemist boasts of successfully hosting a number of gigs such as; Hip-hop shindig #ItsAboutTime, Rapper Khaligraph’s Khali Day and Thrift Social 2017 among others.
The Open Mic Event will provide the participating performers with a chance to test out their songs in front of live audiences, thrill their fans and meet other creatives in order to grow their networks among other opportunities.
For those interested, the rules of engagement are pretty simple:
- Each performance will have a time limit of 10 minutes.
- Registration opens at 7.00pm and ends at 8:00 pm at the venue.
- Pre-registrations are not allowed. Those interested must show up.
- Open to diverse performances. Stand up, poetry, music etc.
- Performers can bring their own instruments.
