If you are into food, dressing up and exclusive flamboyant events, you probably heard of Le Dîner en Blanc’s debut in Nairobi three years ago. I know I did! I had never been but always had immense FOMO promising myself to tick it off my bucket list one of these days. Now that I am over my fear of wearing all white and even learned that you can pick up an already prepared picnic basket made with so much love – I couldn’t be more excited about the 3rd edition of the event happening on the 25th of November.
Why Le Dîner en Blanc Nairobi is one of the Most Elegant Calendar Events
To launch the 2017 chapter, LeAnne who is the founder of DEBNairobi and her team hosted food bloggers, other lifestyle journalists and some of the sponsors at the Metta for a brunch simulating what to expect on that day. We got to sample the menu that will be available to those who prefer not to cook, from Kichen. Check them out! They had the most delicious spread for us.
The ambiance, food, and mingling made it one of the best mornings I’d had in a while. The whole thing makes sense… food does bring people closer, a sentiment that was shared with everyone who spoke on that day. What was even more moving was hearing what the journey of bringing such an event has been like from the start. Can’t wait for the main event!
