Singer Tanash Donna is eagerly anticipating the release of “Symphony”, a Nigerian movie she was cast last year alongside other top stars in Africa.
The singer, who recently had a sit down with BBC Africa, revealed that her debut role involves being a girlfriend of a top star who although in love with her, still keeps cheating on her.
“Another thing I’m super excited for this year is the movie that we filmed last year in Lagos, it’s called Symphony,” she said in the interview.
“It’s kinda like Empire but a movie for Africa, it’s a blockbuster movie and it’s gonna be on Netflix as well, it’s dropping at the end of March.”
Symphony is set to stream on Netflix and includes other top stars such as Efa Iwara, Jackie Appia, Scarlet Gomes among others.
Tanash travelled to Nigeria for the shoot and is also set to appear in a Nigerian series.
“It has big names like D’banj, Jackie Appia and Efa Iwara,” she said.
“I am actually playing the role of a girlfriend of a superstar and he basically has a habit of cheating, that of the typically artiste rockstar style and my role is a little bit dramatic where I am always catching him in his games and stuff like that. I’m gonna be a little bit of a drama queen in this movie which is unlike me.”
