STL Tune “Set It Off” To Feature On BET’s Being Mary Jane

This is kind of a big deal.

Stella Mwangi’s music will receive even more exposure, following the confirmation by BET Networks that her single – SET IT OFF – off her BIG GIRL EP will feature as a part of the sound track to the hit show’ s third episode this new season.

She had promised that she would be back in a major way, at the tail end of last year, and what’s more major than international recognition.

The episode itself is set to air in the US this week, although Kenyan audiences will have to wait a little longer to watch it on Bet

According to the network, SET IT OFF will be used as described below:
Approx. 00:30
The guest on Mary Jane’s show struts into the studio with her whole posse. Mary Jane crosses paths with them and then proceeds to find her producer to inform him of their arrival.

Following the release of the first single “Big Girl” – this second project comes with a major co-signer behind it.

Big Girl was itself leased to Donut Media – an American production that specializes in producing TV and YouTube content on the freshest car, motorsports, supercars, auto news and car and prank videos every week.

Stella Mwangi’s team defines the EP as “a fusion of songs with high energy and her distinct Hip Hop flow that unites her fans across the globe. She continues to create a diverse sound, fusing Swahili and English in her European songs while remaining authentic to her African origin and style. It’s this very unique and authentic sound that has been sparking the interest towards Stella’s music in Hollywood circles… ”

STL is multi-talemted; considered to be one of the continent’s most unique artists with her cross genre styling and her electric live performances. And she hasn’t stopped there, tackling fashion and merchandising through Vaa Ki Afrika – a Scandinavian fashion web store selling Kenyan fashion abroad.

We are all for major moves and mass exposure and this definitely qualifies.

Big up to STL and the rest of the team. Can’t wait to hear what else 2017 has in store for you!
