Media personality and sports guru Carol Radul has confirmed her exit from Radio Africa after working for them for 21 years. In a lengthy post via her social media pages, the sports radio presenter narrated her journey working for one of Kenya’s biggest media houses. “I joined the Radio Africa Group on the 8th of Aug 2000 as a news reporter and was soon promoted to be the head of News at Kiss 100.” She wrote.
Carol highlighted some of her biggest projects which included: Radio Jambo, Radio Africa Limited’s digital department including Mpasho, and Bamba Sport. She further noted how her career gave her an exciting opportunity to hire and work with some of Kenya’s most respected media personalities such as Gidi, Ghost Mulei, Bramwel Mwololo, Fred Arocho, Idah Waringa, and Mukami Wambora.
Her illustrious career at Radio Africa made her one of Kenya’s most sought-after female sports journalists and opinion shaper. Carol’s Saturday Sports show The Score, alongside Roy Karuhize and Kieni Githinji amassed a legion of faithful listeners and set the pace for similar shows in Kenya.
She further noted that she had been missing in action on radio for slightly over a year but would be back on the airwaves in two weeks to continue pushing the sports agenda. Carol concluded the post thanking her boss and colleagues at Radio Africa and her fans for the support.
We wish her the best in her next step.
