Kenyan artist Masauti has joined the long list of Kenyan content creators to receive a Youtube award for surpassing 100,000 subscribers on his channel.
The ‘Kiboko’ hitmaker took to his Instagram page to share a video of the silver play button and express his gratitude to his supporters.
His fast-growing Youtube channel currently has 127k subscribers owing it to the hit singles and collabos he has been uploading in the past months.
“You have achieved this milestone with hard work, perseverance and probably a healthy sense of humour too. What you’ve accomplished can’t be taken away from you.And we’d like to recognize you and all your hard work with this silver creator award, a small token of our esteem and respect” reads part of the statement signed by a Youtube official
This record counts as one of the milestones in his music career considering the massive support and huge following he has from his fans.
Some of the hit songs that propelled him to fame include Ipepete, Kiboko remix with Khaligraph Jones and collabos with WCB’s LavaLava and Kenya’s finest Nadia Mukami.
Apart from Masauti, other celebrities and content creators who have in the past been awarded by Youtube include; Mwalimu Racheal, Nadia Mukami, Ethic, Wajesus Family, Diana Marua among others.
The famous music band; Sauti Sol is currently the most followed (among Kenyan musicians) on YouTube leading with 552K subscribers.
