Sauti Sol singer Bien Baraza will be off social media for a few weeks in an effort to revitalize.
On social media, the singer said that he’s changing his life for the better, which means taking a break from Instagram and Twitter where he’s active most and also staying away from drugs such as Miraa.
“I have decided to change my ways and I am even considering quitting jaba and other substances,” said Bien.
Bien, who has been topping trend lists for the better part of this and last year, said being online daily has thrown him into a path he doesn’t like.
“There are many habits that I picked up along the way that I am leaving behind this year,” he wrote on social media.
“It won’t be easy but the Lord is with me. The internet is a very toxic place.”
The declaration comes following a busy year for him and Saut Sol in general.
Bien has seen Nviiri, signed under the band, release a six-track EP dubbed “Kitenge” in 2021 and him teaming up with renowned Kenyan jazz maestro, Aaron Rimbui for his first solo EP titled “Bald Men Love Better”.
