Former radio presenter cum actress Shix Kapienga is back on TV after landing a hosting gig on NTV’s reggae show Jam Down.
The former Hot 96 presenter was picked as the replacement of Miss Katiwa who is said to have resigned in February of this year.
Announcing the new role on social media, Kapienga said that she was grateful to be back on TV.
“Now you know, let’s link up this Saturday ndani ya @ntvjamdown 10pm – 12pm alongside @ruffestdjmoh for some cool reggae vibes. #Grateful,” she said.
Following her resignation, Miss Katiwa thanked her fans and NTV for the opportunity having worked on the show for four years.
“Let me take this opportunity to thank everyone who played a major role in my path and my career. Kriss Darlin you’ve been a blessing, Mercy Maroma and Justus Tharao thank you for believing in me and trusting me with the show, you are such a blessing and one of my favourite bosses so far,” said Miss Katiwa.
“Four years ago I got an opportunity to join NTV to host a show dubbed Jamrock, two years later it gave birth to Jamdown, and yesterday was my last show. Everything that has a beginning has an end too.”
