Shekhinah Concert Postponed To September

Popular one-day festival Thrift social which was bringing South African songbird Shekhinah has been postponed to September.

This edition of the concert, which is being sponsored by Hennessy, was meant to go down on 29th August but has been moved to September 18th, 2021. This is following the new COVID-19 protocols given by the Ministry of Health.

It is still going to be held at the Ngong racecourse and will feature big Kenyan names such as Xenia Mannasseh and rapper Bey T.

The event organizers took to their social media to announce the new date.

“Dear Thriftsocialnairobi Fam , Due to new guidelines and protocols given by the Ministry of Health in effect for 30 days . We Thriftsocialnairobi together with our sponsors and partners have decided to push forward our event slated for August 29th to September 18th 2021. This is to facilitate further Covid 19 prevention measures and make the event bigger, better and safer. Tickets already purchased are valid for the new date,” they wrote.

Thrift social has in the past editions featured international acts such as Rema and Sho Madjozi. It is the second event to get postponed this season as Omah Lay’s concert was also pushed further.
