Model Sharon Obara was crowned a beauty queen on the recently concluded Mr and Miss World Kenya pageant that took place at the Trademark hotel over the weekend.
The much-anticipated event saw many 16 beauty queens and kings battle it out for the coveted title.
At the end of the day, Miss Obara took home the crown of Miss World Kenya 2021, taking over from the previous holder of the crown Ms Maria Wavinya.
Chantou Kwamboka and Mwihaki Njogu were named first runners up and second runners up respectively while Mokeira Onchiri took home the people’s choice award.
ICT CS Joe Mucheru and Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris were some of the government officials present.
Taking to her social media pages, the stunning Miss Obara was filled with glee as she gave her vote of thanks.
“A dream came true. It still feels so surreal. Along the way,I got to experience and learn alot of things… (that I will be sharing with you soon) I met so many new people and made a new family. But above all,I became a better person.
I am humbled to have been the one bestowed the honor to represent Kenya @missworld .I am still in awe of the support and love that is still coming my way.The journey has just but began @mrandmissworldkenya ~love, Sharon❤,” she wrote.
