31 July of 2019 by

Veteran radio presenter Shaffie Weru has joined Homeboyz Radio as the programmes controller.

Shaffie, who left Kiss 100 FM last month where he was co-hosting The Breakfast Show alongside Adele Onyango, is also expected to further the station’s culture of hip hop and English Premier League with his vast experience in the business.

“He will be able to work with the team to improve our programming, work on creative ideas with the creative team to bring out the culture of HIP HOP and EPL in everything we do,” said Homeboyz general manager Somoina Kimojino.

“We give him a warm welcome and look forward to improved station sound and programming to make HBR the no 1. Hip Hop Radio Station in Kenya.”

Though he left Kiss 100, Shaffie hasn’t technically left Radio Africa Group since Homeboyz Radio is also a member of the Radio Africa Group, though operates independently.

Shaffie has been on radio for 14 years now.
