The trailer we’ve all been waiting for is finally here — and it’s looking good.
Disney released the first few glimpses of Mira Nair’s “Queen of Katwe” Tuesday. The movie, which features Lupita in one of the leadings roles, is set to hit the big screen on Sept. 23.
Lupita plays the role of Harriet Mutesi, an impoverished Ugandan mother of a young chess prodigy.
“Can you do big things from such a small place?” Mutesi’s daughter asks in the trailer.
“Don’t think about such things,” Mutesi responds.
“Why not?”
“You’ll be dissapointed.”
“Queen of Katwe” is based on a true story and is already creating buzz across the world. Make sure to check out the full trailer below while we eagerly await the fall premiere.
