The search for the next top DJ in Nairobi who will live up to the hype has now reached its final lap as three DJs are set to compete for the top price on November 30.
For six months, young and upcoming DJs in Nairobi have showcased their skills in the ongoing Jamsession Reloaded DJ Battle that started on August 10, 2018, at the Florida Nightclub.
More than 20 DJs have been eliminated leaving only three –DJ Bliss, DJ Frost and DJ Madwhip. The winner of the battle will get a three-month contract with Florida, mentorship and sponsorship Homeboyz Radio and Hennessy.
Jamsession Reloaded DJ Battle has also had guest appearances from artists such as Big Pin, Kenrazy, G Money and Mcee Melvin Alusa in the past competitions. Nameless and several other artists are expected to grace the finals which will be at Florida.
In the past, DJ competitions have proved a great means of collecting top talents in Kenya. Top DJs such as DJ Mo, DJ Joe Mflame, DJ Kaytrixx and DJ Rickie are some of the top talents that have passed through some of these competition and managed to stay relevant.
