Savara Pays Tribute To Peter Morgan Narrating How He Missed An Opportunity To Work With The Reggae Legend  

The World has been honoring Peter Morgan since his passing, and Recently Kenyan Singer Savara paid tribute to the Icon, sharing how he missed an opportunity to work with Morgan Heritage, and how he was inspired by the legend.

Speaking in Ruai Gardens at the launch of Kenya Cane’s new Pack the singer said we need to celebrate artists when they are still alive.

“I feel so bad, the truth is this, celebrate your artist when he is still alive.” He said, adding …

“Morgan Heritage had sent me a track, they were working on an album, it was some time last year and we were on tour so we were so busy and communication was lost.

But I remember my team told me, Morgan Heritage has sent you a track check that email,”

Savara said he wished he would have worked on that album, “I wish I would have written a song on that album.” He said …

“All in all, Peter Morgan has done an amazing job.

He raised me in music,” Savara narrated how he looked up to Peter Morgan when he had dreams of becoming an artist.  

“To the Morgan Heritage family, many condolences, and from Sauti Sol we love you guys so much …. And your contribution in music will forever be cherished, long live Peter Morgan. ”

Savara on Performing Solo since Sauti Sol going on a Hiatus  

Savara who we are used to seeing performing with his bandmates took the stage solo at Ruai Gardens, performing some of his hit singles from EP, ‘Savage Level’ as well as the old classics from Sauti Sol.

Revelers were treated to a one-of-a-kind experiential and musical extravaganza headlined by Kenya Cane’s brand ambassador Savara, Prince of Rhumbacane Yaba and DJ Demakufu as Kenya Cane unveiled the new look led by Kenya Cane’s Brand Manager, Davis Changalwa and Shopper Manager Mercy Gitari.

The event was hosted by the comic duo of MC Gathoni and Plumplum and also included Mugithi artiste Waithaka Wa Jane, Artsyculture the Band and Sarakasi dancers.

The brand also recognized and rewarded Lilian Kisovilu and Nahason Momanyi selected from its Greats Toast Twice campaign activation to find Kenyans working towards their Greatness.

At the end of the extravaganza Savara concluded he is working on an EP and will drop it soon ahead of his US tour, courtesy of Madaraka festival.
