Sauti Sol’s Message After Sol Fest And Officially Starting Their Break

Kenyan sensation Sauti Sol has bid farewell following what is being hailed as their final performance at the recently concluded Sol Fest concert.

The event, which witnessed a full house and unfolded between November 2 and 4, was headlined by the renowned rapper and artist Nyashinski.

As Nyashinski concluded his set, he joyfully proclaimed, “Long Live Sauti Sol,” evoking cheers from the enthusiastic crowd.

Earlier this year, despite dedicating the previous year to individual projects, the group, comprising Bien Baraza, Austin Chimano, Polycarp Otieno, and Savara Mudigi, announced their decision to go on a hiatus.

Throughout their illustrious career, Sauti Sol not only represented Kenya on the African continent but also captivated audiences worldwide with performances in Europe and the United States.

In 2021, their musical prowess was recognized by the Grammy Awards for their contribution to Burna Boy’s album “Twice As Tall.”

Expressing their gratitude to their loyal fans on Instagram, they wrote, “To our amazing fans, our most cherished supporters and voices! We are profoundly thankful for 20 incredible years of your unwavering support.

Thank you for transforming @solfestafrica into the ultimate festival in East Africa!

While we take a brief respite, remember, Solfest endures because of YOU. Stay tuned for what the future holds!”
