The year is halfway through and you would think that Sauti Sol were ready for a vacation after a pretty hectic first half to 2017.
Nope. Not even close.
The boys are ganging up for a monster finish to the year 2017 – and they kick of their July programme with their first international tour date of the month, at Toronto’s Africa Music Fest.
The continent has seemingly become the flavour du jour, and Sauti Sol one of its most requested toppings.
Just last week, the band released a new single and emoji video to their tune Friendzone. . The video is just the first part of a three part video release for the song that has already started to generated pretty serious airplay given percussive, new age vibe.
It’s a big tune and is almost certain to debut on stage in Toronto tomorrow! The city has always been a melting pot of cultures – and the African influence is heavy, so the venue should be electric on the night.
Other Afrobeat and Afropop superstars who will be shutting down Toronto inside city’s premier entertainment hot spot Rebel, include StoneBwoy and Teckno who had one of the biggest tunes in Africa this year – Pana.
Always great to watch African stars shine bright and put our sound on a global stage!
