King Kaka on Friday November 30, finally released his anticipated fifth album “Eastlando Royalty” after months of hype.
The release, which was held at Uhuru Gardens, was capped by the rapper bringing out his mother and longtime partner to the stage.
After a good speech on how the two have supported him, the rapper went down on one knee and proposed to his longtime girlfriend Nana Owiti.
Sideshows aside, it seems his album is also living up to the hype.
King Kaka, to begin with, successfully auctioned the album’s cover for 32,000/- during a cocktail event that was held last month in Nairobi.
The well planned album release also managed to attract a considerable number of fans and was backed by sponsors such as Kaka Empire, Coca Cola, Songa By Safaricom, Blaze, EGM, Classic 105 and Kiss Fm among others.
Eastlando Royalty has 18 tracks — 22 for deluxe edition — and has featured Talib Kweli, Tracy Morgan, Arrow Boy, Jamaican Romain Virgo among others.
