The Sailors dropped their anticipated Gospel song titled Jesu Ni Mwathani meaning Jesus is Lord. The 4:13 mins long track was dropped on their YouTube channel today. According to the group this track was released to thank God for being faithful to them during this year.
Sailors which is composed of 5 musicians i.e. Miracle Baby, Shalkido, Masilver, Lexxy Yung and Qoqos Juma, is managed by media personality Mwalimu Rachel. Their music career has flourished this year after their song Wamlambez went viral and was followed by other big hits such as Wainame, Pekejeng, Queen B and Wakiritho among others.
This group has scooped various awards for their songs including winning 4 Awards out of the 11 Awards that were up for grabs in the recently concluded Pulse Music Video Awards. The audio was produced by Mavo On The Beat while the video was shot by Team Mistari. Jesu Ni Mwadhani video is shot in a choir-like setting with group member Miracle Baby being the hyped choirmaster. The other group members also nail their verses as they accompany the catchy chorus.
Fans are quite impressed by this new song if the comments on YouTube so far are anything to go by. The song has gathered over 1000 views within its first hour.
