Twaweza Live initiative by Safaricom is really touching the lives of normal Kenyans by the thousands. Its third edition just ended with a concert at the Mombasa Sports Club which attracted over 20,000 fans who got first-class entertainment.
The Coast edition kicked off two weeks ago with various activities including base station and dealer outlets launches, a free medical camp, CSR activities, campus takeovers and a local talent search competition. It also featured youth mentorship programs courtesy of the BLAZE BYOB summit.
The main concert on Saturday had entertainment lineup featuring the likes of Redsan, Kris Darlin, Fena Gitu, Nyashinksi, Mercy Masika and King Kaka. Cheering the crowd on was Comedian Njugush and hype man Alemba. The concert featured coast-based stars Susumila and Bango legend Mzee Ngala. Djs Joe Mafalme and Deff kept the music ringing loud.
The campaign which began in May will climax in November and focuses on making a positive impact in the lives of Kenyans by delivering relevant products and services, providing world-class entertainment and ensuring that impactful investments are made in different communities across the country.
The Twaweza live series will proceed in Kisumu, Machakos and finally, Nairobi in the next few months.
