Kenya’s largest telecommunications provider and most profitable company in East Africa is rolling with current times to honour an icon.
Kenyans and the world are waiting in bated breath to see the greatest marathoner alive Eliud Kipchoge break the world record of sub-2 hours. This will go down on October 12 in Vienna Austria event dubbed INEOS 159 challenge.
In line with celebrating our heroes, Safaricom will be changing the M-Pesa brand logo for the next 7 days. The new logo will be the five letters spelling Kipchoge’s first name ‘Eliud‘ and the numbers ‘1.59’ to denote the challenge #Eliud159.
This is a huge step for such a corporation that not only creates a massive awareness of Kipchoge’s bid to win but also shows unity, appreciation and patriotism. The Safaricom tag-line will state “From Kenya to the world, no human is limited”.
For the next 7 days, we shall stay on top of this one of a kind event to see what will unfold while hoping for a breakthrough.
