Virgin founder and chairman, Sir Richard Branson today opened his newest venture with the introduction of Mahali Mzuri, a luxury safari camp that’s located in the Motorogi Conservancy in the Maasai Mara ecosystem of Kenya, about 150 miles west of Nairobi.
The retreat houses 12 tents that will accommodate 24 guests at a time.
Mahali Mzuri, which means ‘beautiful place’ in Swahili costs around $580 a night, based on double occupancy. That includes meals, drinks, and daily games.
Take a dip in the infinity pool or set out to see the wildebeest, elephants, zebra, lions, leopards, cheetah, giraffe, impala, gazelles, antelope, hippos, warthogs, and hyenas in the area.
Branson’s hospitality holdings, under the Virgin Limited umbrella, include his private Caribbean retreat Necker Island, a game reserve in South Africa, a restaurant in London and the Necker Nymph, a submarine.
