Annual motorsport event, The Rhino Charge holds its 34th edition on Saturday 3rd June. Rhino Charge is a 4×4 off-road adventure spectacle by the Rhino Ark Kenya Charitable Trust. It is a platform that raises awareness about the conservation of Kenya’s mountain range ecosystems, known as the “Water Towers.”
According to the organizers, 64 teams will be participating in this edition, each sponsored by various brands. Some of them include Whitecap sponsored teams – Bushbabes Car 19 and Team Hippo Car 25. As usual, the event will have 13 brand-sponsored checkpoints spread over approximately 100 km² of rough terrain. Each competitor will be required to pass these in order to win the competition.
Speaking ahead of the event, Rhino Charge Chairman Don White, expressed his delight at the continued support of brands in environmental conservation projects. At the moment, preparations for this year’s Rhino Charge are almost complete.
Sabina Contos, the driver for Team Bushbabes, expressed her excitement about participating for the 13th time. “It has been an honor to continually show up for this worthwhile cause to raise awareness on environmental conservation, something we are extremely passionate about.” She spoke.

She also emphasized the need to continuously support such a worthwhile cause and raise awareness about environmental conservation. The organizers are promising yet another remarkable outing for participants and fans alike in one of Kenya’s most spectacular locations.
In the previous edition of Rhino Charge, held in Mosiro, Kajiado County. A total of 64 teams participated, raising KSH 150,000,000 through various revenue streams. These funds were then invested in conservation efforts around Mt Kenya, Aberdares, and Mt Eburu Forests. The event’s success in generating substantial contributions demonstrates the collective commitment of participants, sponsors, and supporters toward preserving Kenya’s natural heritage.
