Radio Presenter Jalang’o Exits Milele FM

Renowned radio presenter Felix Odiwuor aka Jalang’o announced his exit from Milele FM where he hosted the morning show alongside Alex Mwakideu. Their show dubbed The Milele FM Breakfast Show, was broadcast every weekday from 6 am to 10 am and was among one of the most popular morning radio shows in Kenya. The comic nature of the topics discussed and the chemistry between Jalang’o and Alex made them a darling to many Kenyans

Jalang’o made the announcement of his resignation via his social media handles. The radio presenter told his fans that he did not report to work yesterday morning, as he was not in agreement with some terms of his employment. He also mentioned that the COVID-19 pandemic had hit Media Max among other businesses and negatively affected operations.

Today has been a very amazing day and a sad day with everyone at my work Place at Mediamax …Covid hit hard and everyone has to have their belts tight and unfortunately Mediamax has been hit too…I was not at work today because we had not agreed on alot of things and terms and even as we speak my HR had me on hold still discussing terms of employment…Unfortunately we dint agree..So just like today I wont be at work tommorow or any other day…In short Last Friday was my last day at Milele Fm and I want to thank everyone who supported me and every fan who was with that to the point we became the most popular and No 1 Radio Station in the country 1. I want to thank the Mediamax management for the opportunity they gave me and I will forever be grateful. 2. To my brother @alex_mwakideu you know to my last blood I love you! The former Milele FM breakfast show host went on to thank his bosses, colleagues especially co-host Alex Mwakideu, and his listeners for the support they had accorded him during his tenure at the Media Max owned station.

Jalang’o has been working on his latest project Bonga na Jalas which is broadcasted on his YouTube channel every week. The channel currently has over 100K subscribers. He has used the platform to interview various Kenyan celebrities such as Nadia Mukami, Xtian Dela, Tanasha Donna, Sauti Sol, Otile Brown, Khaligraph Jones, Bahati, and Betty Kyalo among others

The Bonga na Jalas host boasts of having a fruitful career in Kenyan media since his role on Citizen TV’s show Papa Shirandula, where he acted as Wilbroda’s brother alongside fellow comedian Otoyo. Jalango is also an entrepreneur, stand up comedian, MC, and film director.
