Queer Republic Peaceful Procession

In a Letter, the Queer Republic has notified Regional police commander Benjamin C. Boen of a peaceful procession to petition the ministry of education regarding Magoha’s recent comments on queer school-going children.

Furthermore, the letter notifies of their intent of a peaceful procession from Jevanjee Garden, through Moi Avenue to Harambee Avenue where the Ministry of Education office is situated.

Education CS Professor George Magoha’s Comments On Queer School Going Children

Back in December 2021, Education Cabinet Secretary, Professor George Magoha directed school heads to bar learners engaging in homosexuality from boarding schools.

Magoha ordered the said students to be enrolled in day schools near their homes and those already in boarding schools to be transferred.

This move, Magoha said is aimed at protecting the greater majority of learners.

“Right now, there have contemporary cases of children who are homosexual and lesbians, they must go to day schools close to their homes. Your responsibility should be for the greater majority and not a few individuals. Do not allow yourselves to be intimidated by children,” said Magoha.
