President Uhuru rides matatu to launch new cashless payment system

President Uhuru Kenyatta ditched his limo and opted for public transportation to take him to KICC yesterday. The president was accompanied by Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore, Transport CS Michael Kamau other government officials.

The ride to town was to launch the new cashless payment system that will now be available to commuters riding public transport. The president also announced that the government will lifting the graffiti ban on matatus that was imposed years back.

Yes! the president did pay his own fare!
