Talent can’t be boxed up neatly – it thrives when it is not led. Which is why I was so delighted to find out that the poet and musician Qui Qarre has come out with “Tears of the Pen” a dedication to her art through the magic of words.
My intention on #TearsOfThePen At first was to Express myself. To put my thoughts, stories, poems and ideas out there.
After the book was released, I realized it wasn’t just for me, but for every young person out there with big dreams. #TearsOfThePen pic.twitter.com/Y1PeZPbboL— #TearsOfThePen (@quiqarre) May 23, 2018
New to spoken word, and perhaps to Qui? We spoke to her a few months ago on inspiration, as well as where she sees this art form taking her in the future.

We keep stressing, if you want to consume the art that someone has worked so long and so hard to produce then purchase it. It’s a small token for the years that go into perfecting a craft
